1.Who this is
opti-pipe (optipipe.dev) is operated by Dor Rafael Avrahamof, a solo founder based in Israel. There's no separate corporate entity behind it right now — "we," "us," and "opti-pipe" in these terms all mean the same person. By creating an account or using the dashboard, you're agreeing to these terms.
2.What the service is
opti-pipe reads a real artifact your Spark, dbt, or Flink pipeline already produced (an event log, run_results.json, or a metrics export) and returns configuration recommendations from a deterministic rule engine, optionally with a second opinion from an AI model ("Ask AI"). Every recommendation is approve-before-apply: opti-pipe never modifies your actual infrastructure, cluster configuration, or pipeline code on its own. You decide what to do with what it tells you.
3.Accounts
You need an account to unlock every recommendation for a pipeline (the first one is free without signing up). When you create one, the information you give us needs to be accurate — we use your email to send account-related messages (password resets, security notices) and nothing else unsolicited. You're responsible for keeping your password and, if enabled, your two-factor authentication secure. Let us know right away at info@optipipe.dev if you think your account has been compromised.
You need to be legally able to enter into these terms - generally, an adult in your jurisdiction, or acting on behalf of a company you're authorized to bind.
4.Acceptable use
Use opti-pipe for what it's built for: analyzing your own pipeline artifacts and acting on the recommendations if you choose to. Specifically, don't:
- Upload files you don't have the rights to analyze, or that belong to someone else's infrastructure without their permission.
- Try to circumvent, probe, or defeat the anonymization boundary described in the Privacy Policy (for example, deliberately crafting input to smuggle non-metric data through the upload pipeline).
- Attempt to disrupt the service - excessive automated requests, attempts to bypass rate limits or trial limits, or anything resembling a denial-of-service attempt.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or data, or to opti-pipe's own infrastructure.
- Use the service to build a directly competing product by systematically extracting its rule engine's outputs.
We can suspend or terminate an account that violates this section.
5.Free trial & billing
Right now, opti-pipe is free. It's in early access: no payment method is required to sign up, and nothing is charged. This can change, but only with clear notice to existing users before anything about their account changes - see the FAQ for the current, always-accurate state of this.
When paid plans do launch: subscriptions are billed through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, who handles payment processing and applicable tax. Signing up for a paid plan starts a trial; unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid subscription and your payment method is charged. You can cancel anytime before the trial ends at no cost, and manage or cancel an active subscription from your account's billing portal.
6.Your content
Whatever you upload - your pipeline logs, metrics, or config - stays yours. We don't claim ownership of it. You grant us only the limited right to process it as needed to generate your recommendations, per the anonymization boundary in the Privacy Policy (we never read your SQL, model names, DataFrame code, or file paths, regardless of what's technically present in an uploaded file).
7.No warranty
opti-pipe is provided "as is." Recommendations are generated by a rule engine (and, optionally, an AI model) against the specific artifact you uploaded - they're suggestions, not guarantees. We don't warrant that applying a recommendation will reduce your costs, fix a specific problem, or behave identically in your environment as described. You're responsible for reviewing and testing any change before applying it to a real system - that's exactly why every recommendation is approve-before-apply rather than automatic.
8.Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, opti-pipe won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service - including infrastructure costs, data loss, or downtime resulting from a decision you made based on a recommendation. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100 USD - which, while the service is free, is effectively the cap.
9.Termination
You can stop using opti-pipe and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing info@optipipe.dev (there's no self-service delete button yet - see the Privacy Policy). We can suspend or terminate an account for violating section 4, or discontinue the service entirely with reasonable notice if we ever need to.
10.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes - most recently, as real billing gets turned on. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use opti-pipe after a change means you accept the updated terms; if a change is significant (like billing actually going live), we'll tell existing users directly, not just update this page silently.
11.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in the competent courts of Israel.
